Commissioned for the 400 anniversary of Kilkenny being a city. One of the few pieces of furniture at this time was a table (board) for putting cups on, a cup board, which later were built with sides and became cupboards or a press. This piece is a contemporary version, made from walnut and oak has 3 verticals representing the 3 towers of Kilkenny Castle, and what would have been rails have now become drawers.
